Dunas Hostel & Guesthouse - Alvor

I recently stayed at Dunas Hostel in Alvor for a few days and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hostel itself was spotlessly clean. I loved the convenient location, with free parking spots available and restaurants and a supermarket right outside. The hostel is also within walking distance to the center of town, where you can find cozy restaurants. The futuristic design of the hostel, with lockable storage and curtains for privacy, made it feel like something out of a sci-fi movie. The well-equipped kitchen and communal areas were also a big plus.

Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

As women traveling alone, we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay at the hostel. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the front of house was very welcoming. the hostel itself was extremely clean, and we appreciated having access to the pool. the sunbeds by the pool were also affordable, and we enjoyed relaxing there. the location was ideal, as the beaches were within walking distance and there was a supermarket and plenty of restaurants nearby. it was a perfect choice for us.

great stay, clean and friendly, close to the beach, beds have lockers

I had an incredible time at Dunas Hostel & Guesthouse. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beautiful beach and close to supermarkets. The hostel was spotlessly clean, from the rooms to the communal areas. The kitchen had everything I needed and more, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was impressive, although I couldn't resist spending my time at the beach instead. Despite a few minor drawbacks, like the slightly hard beds and the lack of hooks in the bathroom, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I highly recommend this hostel.

We had a great stay at this accommodation. the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect - close to everything but not right in the center. We really appreciated the apartment they offered us instead of the hostel, and it was cozy and well-maintained. the highlight was definitely the pool, which was a big bonus. the staff was friendly and helpful, offering recommendations for places to eat. one of the best places we've stayed at!

The value for money at this hostel was fantastic, and the room wasvery comfy and tidy. The location was convenient, with the beach and town center both within walking distance. The staff at Dunas were friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations for local restaurants.

The breakfast option could use some improvement, with more variety and choices available.

The location of this hostel is ideal, with a great supermarket nearby and a fantastic boardwalk along the beach and estuary. the hostel offers well, designed rooms with built, in storage and curtains for privacy. the kitchen is fully equipped with brand new cutlery, crockery, and gadgets, making it easy to prepare meals. the friendly and helpful staff also allow for early check, ins and provide storage for luggage.

The only downside is the limited bus connections to the area.

dunas hostel & guesthouse in alvor was beyond amazing! exceeded my expectations on a budget stay. friendly staff, clean facilities, and convenient location near the beach, restaurants, and supermarket. loved the pool and well-equipped kitchen. overall, one of the best hostels i've stayed at!

uncomfortable bed and pillow

Excellent location - close to the center of town and the beaches. The hostel is clean and quiet, with wheelchair accessibility. The nearby pool is free to use.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. The hostel had good facilities, including a lovely pool and a large kitchen area. The location was also convenient, with easy access to public transportation and the beach.

The noise from the bar situated in the complex was excessive and went on until late at night, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, the windows in the rooms were frosted over and couldn't be opened, which gave the feeling of being trapped and unable to see the outside world.

The music and noise from the nearby restaurants could be heard in the hostel, which was a bit disruptive. finding the hostel was a bit tricky as Google Maps directed me to a parking area instead of the correct location.
